 About our collage….

Our poster depicts about the different types of developments in the middle to the late adulthood. On this poster is where we can see different signs and faces of middle and late adults. In a middle and late adult, we can commonly see the physical or biological development such as the whitening of hair, the development of wrinkles, the changing of voice, the weakening/malfunctioning of body organs, and more. We can most easily identify a middle and late adult on their signs of maturation in their physical aspects.  In addition, we can also determine a middle and late adult according to their thought, intelligence, and the way they act. Goals and dreams always affect the way of their living. It has always been a priority of career and family. Thinking of surviving life by having a stable job and sustainable living concerns middle aged adults to be prepared for their retirement age. As for late adults, we always notice that some of our parents and grandparents are starting to forget easily. Due to maturation, they can’t be able to speak well and think well enough. These things are what we know as the cognitive stage of development. Aside from that, there is another type of development which is the socio-emotional well being of a middle and late adult. As middle adults, many of the people start to enjoy what they have earned and worked for. It is where we can usually see one’s attainment in life regarding personal and career life. Some people still keep on working for the good of their children in order to have a good and secured life. Consequently, at some; mid life crisis enters in their lives. It has something to do with things, goals or dreams that have not yet attained in their stage of life. Each day, as these things pile up, the shorter the time is left to do it. With that, it starts to become a personal issue. On the other hand, when people become late adults, they start to reflect on their selves. They sometimes feel that they are left behind. At some times, others feel contented and happy with their lives. Some late adults lost their partners (husbands/wives) and some are still living happily with their loved ones. The factors such as relationships, emotions, and personality are under the socio-emotional stage.
